Our
mission statement is about as basic as
it can be ... "To put a smile on the face of a child in the time of need..."
Our immediate plan to help accomplish this objective is by reaching out to children that have experienced some sort of crisis in their young lives. The way in which we are touching that child is through the magic of reading.
The word
R.E.A.C.H. stands for Reading
Enjoyment Affects
Childhood Happiness,
and that is basically what we are
seeking to accomplish.
HOW CAN I HELP ?
WW and AH - R.E.A.C.H. a Child is built strictly on a volunteer network of individuals that want to share in the enjoyment of knowing that they are making the world a little better place for a Child because of something that they have done. We anticipate that the cost of bringing a Children's Book to a child costs approximately $5.00 per book per child.
The majority of the books are donated, yet we still have expenses within the program for program materials, backpacks, shipping costs, fuel, travel accommodations, postage, insurance, paid office staff and overhead & office space (i.e. rental /mortgage payments).
You are invited to contribute in several ways!
- a personal financial contribution
- a corporate sponsorship gift
- a donation of children’s books
- through your time and talents as a site volunteer, book site coordinator or volunteer at large.
Whatever you
decide... you might even want to join us
on a flight to one of our site
destinations where you could experience
first hand reaching out to a child at a
time of need! Remember, all financial
contributions and gifts in-kind
are tax deductible to the extent
allowable by law.
