Message from the Director

With Wings and a Halo - R.E.A.C.H. a Child just accomplished its first (of many to come) Children's Hospital Visit and Book Distribution at the "Brand New“ American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin! We handed out nearly 100 books during the two hours that we were at the Hospital. I would like to "THANK" Julie Auenson the Child Life Specialist/Team Leader at the Hospital for arranging this event for us, and a special thanks to Anne for showing us where to set up... and for all the children who managed to bring some smiles with them to the hospitals waiting room and gathering area.

My daughter, Shyla, was able to make the visit along with me and had a lot of fun visiting with the children and captured several photos that we hope you will enjoy. There was one particular little girl that we both got such a big kick out of... she asked me if... "I was the Boss of all these books!“ I think she meant... if I had written all these books or something like that. But, what a precious moment that comment created...all the same.

We currently are making plans to bring our Children's Hospital Visit and Book Distribution to every Children's Hospital in the greater Midwest Region this year and throughout the entire country during 2008. Fortunately, we have recently received a major commitment for future support from Frontier Airlines... headquartered out of Denver, Colorado. Captain Larry Lutz assisted us with this generous in-kind donation to help us ship books around the country.

Lastly, I would like to welcome to our Advisory Team both Thomas Hunt and John Gabbey from the Fox Valley Area. Each of these two bring with them a wealth of knowledge in the first responder point of contact and Special Event areas for future development assistance within our Non-Profit Corporation.

As a reminder, should any of you reading this letter have any interest in helping out in any capacity to further the Mission of this Non-Profit Corporation... please contact myself or any of our Board Members and Advisors thru our toll free number that is now up and running. That number is (866) WW AND AH (992-6324). Then just push the extension of the person you wish to talk to.

Enjoy the fall colors... before they are gone for another year!

Respectfully,

Paul Scott Gilbertson
Executive Director
