Paul Scott Gilbertson (pictured here with his wife, Chris) was born in Racine, Wisconsin in April of 1956. He, along with his four brothers and parents, Bob and Lorraine, moved to a Resort in Chetek, Wisconsin in the early 1960's. He spent his childhood years there and remembers "the good old days" fondly as he looks back upon the many friendships he made as a youth when weekly visitors came to stay at their family owned resort called "Natural Cove Resort".
Paul spent his young adult llife attending the University of Wisconsin, in both Rice Lake and Eau Claire. He graduated in 1978 from UW-EC and got his first job out of college at Oshkosh, Wisconsin working for the Exploring program of the Boy Scouts of America as an Executive. His job there was to help young teens with career education while they were still in high school. After several years with the BSA he entered into a "World Traveler" phase of his life, whereas, he spent the next several years traveling throughout the USA, Canada and Europe and getting various jobs along the way. (When you see Paul ask him about his job he had when he worked for the Royal Family of Kuwait while he was in Switzerland... what an adventure!).
Paul was lucky enough to meet his wife, Chris, on a sunny beach in Maine in 1984. It was a whirlwind romance and they were married later that December in Paul's hometown of Chetek. Their family grew and grew and grew. Four kids later (three daughters and a son) and many delights along the way... they all now reside in Waunakee, Wisconsin. Paul has completed a construction project known as www.northernbayresort.com in December of 2006 and is now focused on getting With Wings and a Halo - R.E.A.C.H. a Child program off and running!
