Hello Friends of WW AND AH!
All of us ...at "With Wings and a Halo" are extremely excited about the upcoming programs that we are introducing to ...all of you that have indicated an interest in getting involved with this initiative of reaching out to children in crisis with the gift of reading!
With the help of Kelli Kane, the Graphic Design Manager at the Culvers Franchising System, Inc., we are now able to offer an exciting and Official Rock-N-Read fund raising event for students and teachers throughout the Country! When you click on the Rock-N-Read icon on our home page you will go directly into the link that provides you with a step by step strategy on how to run your own event and make it a success in your own community! This is an exciting event for any student to get involved with that would like to help support the "B.A.C.K. Packets" program in their local area!
Secondly, we are launching a special "Book Drive 101" with the help of our friends at Forward Milwaukee; they have been extremely busy laying out the best format for running a book drive in your own community. You will find another step by step processs laid out for you to help you run a book drive that would benefit the "With Wings and a Halo" organization. If you are at all interested in being the coordinator for a book drive in your community or at your place of employment make sure to check out the "Book Drive 101" icon on our home page. It is an easy to follow format and is sure to help you conduct a successful event!
Forward Milwaukee is also, putting together an upcoming internet training event they are calling a webinar for WW AND AH volunteers, Executive Directors and Advisors. It will be available in January with the date and times to be announced!
Finally, we wanted to mention our "Sponsorship Packet" which is now available for anyone to view and share with a potential Corporate Sponsor that may be interested in having their LOGO on our red backpacks! Starting out in early 2009, we will be giving out to children in crisis situations not only a Children's book , but also, a red backpack complete with a "Nascar look" of Corporate logos surrounding our R.E.A.C.H. a Child logo! Look on our home page for the "Sponsorship Packet" icon and just for your information we will be going with 100,000 red backpacks at our first printing!!!
