Message from the Director

Welcome Friends! 

EXCITING NEWS!!! 

As of now, "With Wings and a Halo - R.E.A.C.H. a Child!" has joined forces with the Dane County Chiefs of Police Association (DCCOPA) and will be working together through the local law enforcement officers and emergency vehicle volunteers to distribute Children's Books to the children in the Dane County Area beginning in the middle of December, 2007!! We will be putting in place a "Test Pilot" program called "B.A.C.K. Packets" , which will consist of a drawstring backpack filled with 10-12 Children's Books and will be in every police and emergency vehicle for the officers and volunteers to give to children in a domestic crisis situation. 

With nearly 350 vehicles in Dane County we anticipate that we will be giving out to the children here approximately 3,500-4,000 Children's Books in the first month alone! Now more than ever, your help is needed to accomplish this task! 

If you know of any Author, Publisher or Book Distributor that would like to become involved and donate Children's Books for this cause have them contact our offices immediately at the following email link below or call us on our toll free line at 1 (866) WW AND AH (992-6324). 

Our first "Kick-off Celebration" in a cooperative effort with the DCCOPA will be held in Mazomanie on December 13th after a breakfast meeting (more details to follow!!). Again... Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing many smiles on the faces of many children in the days ahead!
