   ENDORSEMENTS

   "This is a GREAT program!"

     Oregon Police Dept. WI

The original With Wings and a Halo organization began back in 2000 as a publication company for a Children's book series from author Paul Scott Gilbertson.

It was in May of 2007, that both Paul and his wife Chris traveled to New York City for a National Author and Publishers Convention with thoughts of reviving the Children's book business. While in New York  they visited  "Ground Zero" the site of 9/11. Perhaps, it was the overall tragedy of this site and the sadness of such a crisis in America that sparked the idea for With Wings and a Halo - R.E.A.C.H. a Child. It was after  this brief business trip to New York that the idea for this new non-profit organization came to them.

The idea of giving Children's Books to
children in a crisis situation to help them cope with such a trauma, made a lot of sense!  And, combine that with the over 1500 book publishing companies, authors, book stores and the like that I saw while in New York at the Book Expo of America, we should have no problem getting an inventory of Children's books to donate to children in a time of need!

OUR GOAL

Our goal is to develop an ongoing donation program supported by individual donations, corporate gifts, grants and direct contributions of books and other supplies. Collectively, these tax deductible contributions will be used to support and supply the organization’s efforts in furtherance of its charitable purposes.

OUR VOLUNTEERS

Our Non-Profit Corporation is in the process of recruiting volunteers from all walks of life to become involved in our program. Currently, Frontier Airlines has agreed to be an resource for WW AND AH to transport children's books and materials to and from any of their major terminals across the country.
